Youth Worker Charged with Sexual Exploitation; Police Seek Additional Victims

Hamilton Police entered into an investigation after a young person reported an incident of sexual exploitation. The suspect was in a position of authority in charge of youth as a part of his employment. The suspect sexually exploited and assaulted the young person.

On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, Scott Shewfelt of Dunnville was arrested and charged with the following offences:

·         Sexual Assault

·         Sexual Exploitation

Scott Shewfelt will appear in court on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

It is confirmed Scott Shewfelt is a Youth Worker, Hamilton Police believe that there may be more victims and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
