Youth Dealing Drugs Arrested in Downtown Core

Hamilton Police officers arrested two youth seen dealing drugs in the area of a downtown men’s shelter.

On August 21, 2024, Hamilton Police undercover officers were in the area of York Blvd and Bay St when they observed two males conducting drug transactions. It appeared they were targeting shelter residents.

Officers approached the males, who fled the area. After a brief pursuit, the two youth were arrested. They were found in possession of fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and hydromorphone pills with a street value of over $8,500. One youth was subsequently released when it was determined he was acting as the lookout.

A 16-year-old male is facing the following charges:
