Witnesses sought after Hamiltonian hit by car near Terryberry Road

Hamilton police are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a person get hit by a car on the city’s east Mountain on Wednesday.

Police say they were called to a stretch of Terryberry Road around 9:40 p.m. after a car hit someone.

When they arrived, they found a 23-year-old suffering from collision-related injuries. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries but has since been released and is now recovering.

Authorities were able to determine that the man was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road.

Police say that the driver remained on scene and is cooperating.

“Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate and are actively seeking any potential witnesses,” police wrote in an update Thursday afternoon.
