Two Vehicle Collision Leaves One Man in Hospital

Hamilton Police are continuing to investigate a motor vehicle collision. 

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a serious collision occurred at the intersection of Upper James Street and English Church Road. A 2012 Mercedes C300, driven by a 19-year-old Hamilton man, was heading northbound when a southbound 2011 Toyota CTX, driven by a 76-year-old Hamilton man, made a left turn directly in front of the Mercedes. The Mercedes struck the Toyota broadside, causing it to veer into a roadside ditch. 

Both males were transported to the hospital. The 19-year-old was later released, while the 76-year-old remains in the hospital in critical but stable condition. 

At this time, the police are actively seeking any potential witnesses to this incident and urge anyone with information to come forward. Investigators are also requesting any motorists in the area at the time of the collision to check their dash cameras and any residences or businesses in the area with surveillance cameras to review their camera footage.
