Single Vehicle Collision on Hamilton Mountain

On Monday October 7, 2024, at approximately 10:40 a.m., Hamilton Emergency Services responded to Mohawk Road East at East 45th Street for a single motor vehicle collision involving a grey Dodge Caravan. The Dodge had left the roadway and hit a traffic signal light and hydro pole.  The driver, a 65-year-old male and a 69-year-old passenger both from Hamilton were transported to hospital. The driver is listed in critical condition. The passenger suffered minor injuries.   

The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit was activated and has taken carriage of the investigation.

 Mohawk Road was closed for several hours for the investigation but has since reopened.
