Police share shocking video of daytime gunfight in central Hamilton

Shocking surveillance video shared by police shows the moment a daytime shooting took place last week in central Hamilton, directly across from a retirement home.

It happened shortly after 11 a.m. Friday in the area of Market and Caroline streets.

Three of the five suspects can be seen in the video walking in front of an apartment building located at 111 Market St., before one of the men gets involved in a gunfight.

The video appears to show the shooter ducking behind a car for protection while two other men run away from the scene. After several shots were fired, the video shows the shooter run past the apartment building.

Hamilton police rushed to the scene, where they found multiple bullet casings in the area.

A parked car and vacant apartment unit were struck by the gunfire.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
