Hamilton police have released photos of two men wanted in connection with a shootout that happened in broad daylight Monday afternoon.
Officers say the two men, who appear to be friends, were involved in a gunfight with the driver of a Nissan vehicle shortly before 5 p.m. in the area of Barton Street East and Kinrade Avenue.
Following multiple reports of shots fired, police rushed to the scene and quickly confirmed that a shooting had taken place. Investigators say bullets were found in buildings, vehicles, garages and on roads.

Police found the abandoned Nissan that was involved in the shooting nearby. Detectives are working to identify the driver, who also shot at the two suspects from inside of the vehicle and was the only one within it.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
Less than 24 hours later, investigators shared several photos of the two suspects.
The first man in his early 20s is described as having tan skin and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a red baseball hat, white t-shirt, grey hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, black shoes and carrying a black satchel.
The second man in his early 20s was wearing a black hat or hood, grey sweater, patterned pants and black satchel at the time of the shooting.
Residents in the area are asked to review their security camera footage from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. for any suspicious activity. Drivers with dash camera footage who were nearby are also asked to reach out to police.
