Police Request Dash Cam Footage and Witnesses for Rymal Road Collision

Hamilton Police are seeking assistance from the community following a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, shortly after 3:00 p.m., at the intersection of Rymal Road and Garth Street.

A 2005 Yamaha motorcycle, driven by a 29-year-old Hamilton man, was traveling westbound on Rymal Road West when it collided with a 2023 Ford Bronco, which was stopped at the intersection. The impact caused the motorcycle rider to be ejected into the intersection, where he struck a third vehicle, a 2021 Ford Expedition, traveling southbound through the green light.

The motorcycle rider was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The drivers of the Ford Expedition and Ford Bronco were not injured.

Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the collision and is seeking any potential witnesses. We urge anyone with information or who was in the area at the time of the collision to come forward. Additionally, we request that motorists who were in the area check their dash camera footage, and that residents or businesses with surveillance cameras review their footage between 3:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
