Hamilton Police continue to investigate an incident involving a suspicious vehicle and person that occurred in the area of Weir Street North and Roxborough Avenue yesterday and are asking anyone with information to report to police.
On Monday, May 27, 2024 at approximately 4:20 p.m., it has been reported that a van or SUV-style vehicle was driving on Weir Street North between Roxborough Avenue and Britannia Avenue when the driver approached a youth and engaged in inappropriate conversation.
The suspect was described as follows:
- Male, brown
- Approximately 30 years-of-age
- Black hair
The suspect vehicle was described as follows:
- Gold/tan colour
- Van or SUV style
Police are requesting that residents living in the area please check their video surveillance between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. for any suspicious behaviour or footage that matches the vehicle and suspect descriptions provided. If you were driving in the area and have dash camera footage, please contact us.
