The westbound Sherman Access between the Sherman Cut and Charlton Avenue East is closed in both directions Friday morning after a car drove over the escarpment.
Hamilton police say a 29-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were in a parking lot around 11 p.m. Thursday when their vehicle reversed through a fence, over the escarpment and crashed into a tree.
Officers say the men were able to get out of their car and a bystander called 911.
Paramedics then transported the two men to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
A tow truck is currently at the scene working to recover the car.
