It is with heavy hearts that Hamilton Police report the death of a 63-year-old man from Hamilton.
On Sunday, August 4, 2024, shortly after 9:00 a.m., Hamilton Police and emergency partners responded to a fire at 70 Jerome Crescent.
The fire was located within a unit on the first floor. Hamilton Fire Services extinguished the fire and found a lone male in a chair, unresponsive. He was moved out of the apartment where life-saving measures were performed, the male was eventually transported to the hospital in serious condition.
Tragically, the 63-year-old man has passed away from his injuries.
The Ontario Fire Marshal is leading the investigation. The fire is deemed non-suspicious at this time.
