Hamilton police are investigating after multiple shots were fired into the lobby area of a building in the city’s east end early Friday morning.
The front entrance of the building at 30 Congress Crescent is visibly damaged, with multiple bullets having penetrated the glass.
Police say there are no injuries reported, and it’s unclear at this time whether there was an intended target.
Investigators are looking for a beige SUV that was reported to be carrying a person with a firearm.

The vehicle was last seen leaving the entrance area of 30 Congress Crescent. It then fled eastbound.
The shooting response team continues to investigate this incident, and any residents with security cameras are asked to review their footage for any suspicious activity.
