Police in Hamilton say they have arrested a 33-year-old man after he was found damaging cars in a parking lot using a machete.
Calls reporting an armed man causing vehicle damage and challenging people to fight in an apartment complex came in shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday.
First responders were dispatched to the scene in the area of Main Street West, where the suspect dropped his weapon and was safely arrested.
In total, 36 vehicles were damaged.
The suspect, who has not been named, is now facing charges relating to mischief and failure to comply with probation.
