Kinrade Shooting Suspect Arrested in BC

Hamilton Police Service has continued to investigate the whereabouts of Wanted Party – Malcolm Davis – since the May 13, 2024, shooting incident in the alleyway located near Kinrade Avenue and Barton Street East in Hamilton.

Investigators received information that Davis may have made his way to Western Canada and had been living in Saanich, British Columbia. The Saanich Police Department were advised by Hamilton Police Service and investigated.

On August 13, 2024, Saanich Police Department contacted Hamilton Police Service to advise Davis had been located and arrested on the outstanding warrant.  Investigators from the Hamilton Police Service Fugitive Apprehension Team returned Davis to Hamilton on August 16, 2024, where he will answer to the following charges:

  • Discharge Firearm with Intent
  • Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Knowledge of Possession of an Unauthorized Firearm
  • Possess Firearm while prohibited
  • Failure to stop after accident x 2
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to court order x 2
