Hamilton Police have disrupted a drug dealing operation that was occurring on a discreet trail near Lincoln Street and Barton Street.

On Saturday December 7, 2024 officers from the East End HEAT unit located a structure along the CP Rail line north of Baton Street. Information at the time indicated that the location was being used for illegal drug sale sales and storage.

Officers, in conjunction with the CP Police, descended on the structure which was known to drug traffickers as “The Shack”.  Two males were located and placed under arrest under the authority of the Railway Safety Act while one dog was taken by Animal Control.

During the investigation, officers located the following:

·         12.3 grams of fentanyl

·         7.8 grams of methamphetamine

·         (39) .22 calibre rounds

·         (22) 12 gauge shotgun rounds

·         (1) replica 1911 Sig Sauer pistol

·         (1) can of Bear Spray

Hamilton Police have charged one of the males with the following:

·         CDSA 5(2) Fentanyl

·         CDSA 5(2) Methamphetamine 

·         Possession Proceeds of Crime Under $5000

·         Possession Contrary to Order (Replica Firearm)

·         Possession of Prohibited Weapon (OC Spray)

·         Possession Contrary to Order (OC Spray)

·         Possession Contrary to Order (Ammunition)

·         Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

·         Obstruct Peace Officer
