Hamilton Police Service Names New Mounted Unit Horse ‘TC’

Hamilton Police Service is proud to announce the naming of its newest horse, “TC,” in honour of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. For decades, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats have been an integral part of our community, and this gesture reflects their longstanding commitment to Hamilton.

“The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have been woven into the fabric of our community,” said Chief Frank Bergen. “Naming our newest horse TC is a tribute to their dedication and the strong bond they share with the people of Hamilton.”

TC will join MacNab, Lincoln, Sutherland, Sawyer, and Griffin in patrolling Hamilton’s streets. The Mounted Unit offers high visibility policing, crowd management and active crime prevention in Hamilton’s neighbourhoods.  The unit also responds to areas identified by hotspot analysis that require focused proactive patrol, enhancing community engagement and public safety.

Hamilton Police Service is excited to celebrate this connection and looks forward to seeing TC in action, proudly representing both the Hamilton Police and the Tiger-Cats.
