Hamilton police seek suspect in downtown break and enter

Police are asking for help from local communities to identify a suspect in a break and enter at a building under construction in July.

Officers are investigating a break and enter on July 19 at a building that was under construction in the area of Jarvis Street and King Street East.

Detectives say a suspect allegedly entered the building and stole a box containing electrical equipment.

Investigators are describing the suspect as a 30-year-old man with tanned skin, short black hair and a dark goatee.

The department also says the suspect was wearing a red t-shirt with plaid shorts and black and white running shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
