Hamilton police seek 2 suspects who fled shooting in the city core

Hamilton police are seeking witnesses after officers were called out to a shooting in the city’s core over the weekend.

Police say they received a report from someone who heard the shots near Market street around 5 a.m. on Sunday.

Once on scene, investigators were able to locate evidence that confirmed a shooting had taken place.

Thankfully, no one was injured.

Now, the department is on the hunt for two men that were spotted fleeing the scene.

Officials describe the first suspect as a black man with a stalky build, standing around six-foot-two.

He was wearing a baby blue jumpsuit and had matching baby blue Nike shoes.

The other suspect is described as a white man who was wearing blue sandals. He’s a few inches shorter than the other suspect, and has a thin build.

Police are asking anyone who lives in the area and owns a security camera to check back on the period between 4:30 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. for any evidence of suspicious activity.
