Hamilton Police Searching for Suspects Wanted in Kinrade Shooting

Hamilton Police have issued another warrant for the arrest of 23-year-old Alexander La. He has been connected to the May 13 daytime shooting in the area of Cannon St and Kinrade Ave.

A previous warrant was issued for 25-year-old Malcolm Davis of Hamilton. Davis was identified as the Nissan motor vehicle driver that exchanged gunfire before fleeing the scene and crashing. Davis then fled the scene on foot. He remains outstanding.

The other party involved in the shooting was seen on CCTV firing a gun in an alleyway at the Nissan, then firing more shots on Cannon St. This suspect has been identified as Alexander La.

  • He is facing the following offences for the May 13 incident:
  • Reckless Discharge of a Firearm – s. 244.2(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm – s. 91(3) of the Criminal Code 
  • Knowledge of an Unauthorized possession of a Firearm – s. 92(1) of the Criminal Code
  • Possession of Firearm contrary to Order – s. 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order X 2 – s. 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code
  • Possession of a Prohibited Firearm – s. 95(1) of the Criminal Code
  • Discharge Firearm with Intent – s. 244 (1) of the Criminal Code

La is also wanted for an incident on May 30.

Alexander La and Malcolm Davis should be considered armed and dangerous. If you encounter either suspect, please call 911 immediately.
