Hamilton Police Investigating Stoney Creek Homicide

Hamilton Police are investigating a homicide in Stoney Creek.

Around 7:42 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2024, Hamilton Police were called to a home in Stoney Creek, near the intersection of Trafalgar and Mud Street. Officers discovered a 56-year-old man with severe injuries. He was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The suspect and victim were known to each other. Witnesses within the residence told police the male suspect fled immediately after an altercation with the victim. 

The suspect fled in a small dark coloured SUV. It was last seen travelling  northbound on Trafalgar towards Mud Street. Investigators believe the suspect was in the area for approximately 30 minutes prior to the incident. 

At this time, the victim’s name will not be released.
