Hamilton Police Investigating Shots Fired on Upper Wentworth St.

Hamilton Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting that took place this evening in the area of Upper Wentworth St. and Kingfisher Dr.,  and are asking anyone with information to report it to investigators.

On Sunday September 1, 2024, at 5:55 PM, a dispute between several individuals resulted in one person drawing and firing a handgun. Fortunately, despite several rounds being fired towards several people, nobody was struck or injured. The suspect, wearing a blue tracksuit with a white circular pattern and a black ski mask, was last seen fleeing on foot on Upper Wentworth St. in the area of Kingfisher Dr.

Investigators are requesting anyone in the area at that time to review dashcam and surveillance footage and contact police with any information. Your cooperation and assistance are greatly appreciated as we work to piece together the events surrounding this incident.
