Hamilton Police Investigate Home Invasion in Waterdown

Hamilton Police are investigating a home invasion and robbery that occurred shortly after 4:15 a.m.  on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024. 

The incident took place in the area of Centre Road and Parkside Drive in Waterdown. The incident involves four male suspects, two of which forcefully entered a residence with weapons and demanded the keys to the two Mercedes sedans parked in the driveway of the residence.  The suspects obtained the keys to one of the vehicles and were in the process of stealing the vehicle when a struggle ensued with the homeowners that resulted in the suspects fleeing without the vehicle.The suspects were operating a stolen white 2006 Hyundai Sonata and fled the scene.  The vehicle was located abandoned in another region outside of the City of Hamilton.   There were no physical injuries reported by the victims to police. The robbery is believed to be targeted at this time.

Suspect descriptions are four males wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and masks. All suspects are believed to be in their 20s.

Hamilton Police are asking Waterdown residents in the area to review their security surveillance cameras between the hours of 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. for any suspicious activity and to contact police. Detectives are also asking if you were driving in the area and have dash camera footage that would be suitable for review please contact the investigators.
