Hamilton police are investigating two separate shootings in a single day.
During an unrelated investigation Thursday, the force’s shooting response team found evidence of a firearm that had been discharged on the Bruce Trail near Old Guelph Road and Highway 6 in Dundas.
Officers were then called around 8 p.m. to a townhome located at 288 Grays Rd., after a tenant found a bullet lodged in his window frame. A bullet also damaged his TV. The tenant was not home at the time of the shooting.
Police say the investigation led them to a neighbour’s apartment, but have yet to share more details.
