Hamilton Police shut down three commercial Psilocybin “Shroom” dispensaries in our city yesterday. Investigators worked to identify these establishments, resulting in the execution of search warrants and the subsequent arrest of three individuals.
On Thursday, February 15, 2024, Hamilton Police executed three search warrants at dispensaries in the East End of Hamilton – Shroomyz, Fun Guys, and Shroom Godz. The operators were arrested without incident, marking a significant step in curbing the illegal distribution of Psilocybin products.
Arrested:
22 year-old man, Grimsby:
- Two counts of Possession for the Purpose Schedule III
- Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
34 year-old, Hamilton:
- Possession for the Purpose Schedule III
- Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
41 year-old, Hamilton:
- Possession for the Purpose Schedule III
- Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
The execution of the search warrants resulted in the seizure of over $100,000 worth of illicit Psilocybin products.
