Hamilton Police Arrest Three Individuals for Break and Enter, Assault at Westdale Residence

Hamilton Police have arrested three people in connection with a break and enter as well as an assault at a Westdale residence.

On Sunday, June 16, 2024, Hamilton Police were called to 22 Parkside Drive in the City of Hamilton for an incident which is currently being investigated by Provincial Animal Welfare Services as they are the agency who investigate animal cruelty in Ontario.

Sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on June 19, 2024 individuals broke into 22 Parkside Drive and stole the occupant’s dog – a medium sized black dog named Buster.  The entry itself was captured on video by the perpetrators and then widely shared on social media.

Shortly after 7:00 p.m. Hamilton Police were called to the area of Bond Street North at Norwood Road for a street disturbance.  The occupants of 22 Parkside Drive had attempted to return home and were prevented from doing so when confronted by a group of people, one of whom threw a water bottle at the female’s face.  This incident was also captured on video and shared on social media.

On June 29, a 45-year-old Hamilton woman turned herself in to Hamilton Police for an assault captured on video. On July 4, the male and female wanted in connection to the break and enter were also arrested.

As the charges are before the courts, no additional information will be released.  Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Detective Sami Haddad at (905) 546-3818.
