Fugitive linked to 25 break-and-enters arrested: Hamilton police

Hamilton police say they have successfully arrested a wanted fugitive linked to a series of residential break-ins that spanned five months.

According to officials, 29-year-old Quincy Owen Francis is suspected of entering approximately 25 homes across Stoney Creek, Ancaster, and Flamborough.

Evidence collected throughout the investigation into Francis’ alleged criminal activities also connects him to home break-ins in the Niagara region.

Police originally asked the public for help tracking this suspect down last month, and warned he was likely to have changed his appearance since his last mugshot.

Francis is currently facing 14 charges relating to breaking and entering, theft, and auto theft.

Police say at the time of his arrest, Francis was also wanted in connection with an incident that happened last year.

The investigation remains ongoing, and Hamilton officials say they expect more charges will be laid.

Anyone with information that could assist police with this case is asked to contact the on duty Patrol Staff Sergeant at (905) 546-2963.
