1 dead, 3 injured after late night crash in Waterdown: police

Police in Hamilton have launched an investigation into a crash that killed one, and left three others injured on Tuesday night.

Officers say they dispatched to Dundas Street East and Avonsyde Boulevard just after 11 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls.

Once on scene, police found four victims requiring medical attention after a Dodge Ram truck and a Toyota collided.

The 42-year-old driver of the truck was transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead, police said.

The other three individuals involved, who had been travelling in the Toyota, were also transported to hospital. They suffered minor injuries.

Hamilton police’s collision reconstruction unit is investigating the crash, and say Dundas Street East will remain closed in both directions from Mallard Trail to Evans Road for the time being.

Anyone with information about this collision is encouraged to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-546-4753.
