Police searching for missing vulnerable 3-year-old boy in Mississauga

Peel Regional Police say they are still searching for a vulnerable 3-year-old boy who went missing in a Mississauga park.

Police said the boy, named Zaid, was last seen at 6:20 p.m. Thursday in the area of Erindale Park.

Sgt. Jennifer Trimble told reporters at a press conference that Zaid and his family were in the park and “in a moment, he was just gone.”

He is described by police as about three-feet tall, having a thin build with a short, dark afro. He was wearing a yellow top with red writing and black pants. Trimble said the photo released by police to social media is the exact same shirt as the description.

If spotted, police are asking residents to call 911 immediately.

“We are asking people in the community to keep your eyes open for Zaid,” Trimble said. “Check the area and think like a three-year-old, they like to hide under bushes and places they can fit that certainly adults wont fit.”
