Woman minorly injured after garbage bin explosion at Grimsby elementary school

A woman sustained minor injuries after a garbage bin exploded outside of Central French Immersion Public School in Grimsby.

Niagara police took to social media shortly before 2:30 p.m. saying that the school on Boulton Avenue was initially placed under a “lock and learn” order.

Students are now being moved to a nearby location for the school’s dismissal.

People at a neighbouring daycare in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church have also been evacuated and relocated.

This is a developing news story. More to come.
