Tim Hortons’ annual Smile Cookie campaign officially kicked off in Burlington on Monday.
The popular fundraiser runs from April 29 through May 5 with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to over 600 local charities, hospitals and community programs across Canada.
The Burlington Food Bank announced its selection as the charitable partner in this years Smile Cookie fundraiser.
Last year the food bank raised around $145,000 and are hoping to hit $175,000 this year.
The first-ever Smile Cookie campaign was launched in 1996 and it raised funds to support Hamilton Children’s Hospital.
Since then, it has raised more than $111 million for charities and community groups that are selected every year by Tim Hortons restaurant owners across Canada.
