Three charged with multiple offences linked to January Burlington pickup rollover

Halton police have arrested and charged three men in relation to a vehicle rollover in January on a QEW off-ramp in Burlington.

On Jan. 29 just before 4 a.m. police responded to a pickup truck rollover on the westbound QEW off-ramp at Brant Street.

Three men and one female were found on-scene after being thrown from a Dodge Ram. They were transported to hospital where one of the men was pronounced dead.

A quantity of fentanyl and cocaine and a firearm were located at the scene.

The OPP Collision Reconstruction Unit took over the collision investigation while Halton police investigated the drug and weapon offences.

Three men were recently arrested and charged following the investigations.

Mustafa Ta’amneh, 46, of Mississauga, who is currently in custody on unrelated charges, was arrested and charged on Oct. 25 on numerous accounts, including possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl and cocaine), unauthorized possession of a firearm in motor vehicle and weapons trafficking.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Preet Dhami, 25, of Brampton was arrested and charged on Sept. 17 with possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl and cocaine) and failing to comply with a probation order.

Nitish Oberoi, 34, of Brampton was arrested and charged on Oct. 27 on possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl and cocaine) and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

Both Dhami and Oberoi were released pending a future court date.
