Suspect wanted in connection with 5 Fort Erie break-and-enters

Niagara police in Fort Erie say they are seeking a suspect they believe to be involved in five break-and-enters in the area.

According to police, all of the incidents occurred at commercial properties between June 27 and Aug 6., 2024.

Officials are looking for Greg Nathaniel Tarantini, who they say could be behind these crimes.

Tarantini allegedly broke into three commercial locations, causing damage and stealing items. Two of the locations he returned to a second time.

The 44-year-old Fort Erie native is wanted on five counts of break and entering to commit theft.

Tarantini is described as being six-foot-two with a slender build. He has short, brown hair, blue eyes, and a brown and red goatee.

Police also say he has several notable tattoos. These include a demon face on his upper right arm, a dragon in the sun on his upper left arm, an alien on his right shoulder, two clowns on his right calf, and a maple leaf on his head.

In a release, Hamilton officials say his current location is unknown.

“ He knows he is wanted and is believed to be taking steps to evade arrest,” police said.

“He is suspected to be in the Niagara Region. Anyone who may know Tarantini’s location or who spots him is asked not to confront him but to contact the police. Person’s hiding Tarantini may be subject to a criminal investigation.”
