Six Nations Police charges 44-year-old man, recovers 9 weapons

Police arrested a 44-year-old Ohsweken man after discovering multiple weapons at a home in July near Second Line and Fourth Line roads.

Officers say as part of a controlled drug and substances investigation, they executed a search warrant on July 25 at the home on Six Nations.

Investigators say they discovered eight unauthorized firearms and another unauthorized weapon, ammunition, a stolen mobile trailer and a stolen off-road vehicle on the property.

Police arrested 44-year-old Roger Martin from Ohsweken, Ont. and charged him for multiple counts of possessing those weapons and stolen items.

Martin was held in custody and is scheduled to appear at a bail hearing at an undisclosed time.
