A Six Nations Police Service officer has been charged with assault in connection with an on-duty incident in April.
The force contacted Ontario Provincial Police to launch an independent investigation into the officer’s conduct.
Michael Johnson, 30, was arrested last Friday and charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Johnson has been a member of the Six Nations Police Service for six years.
Officers say he has been suspended with pay since April 15.
He is scheduled to appear in a Brantford court at a later date.
