Serious crash in Norfolk County injures 4, 1 airlifted to hospital

A two-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon on Thompson Road West in Waterford injured four people, with one person being airlifted to hospital.

Emergency crews arrived at the crash at around 5:30 p.m. where they found four people injured.

Ontario Provincial Police says three people were taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries, but the fourth person was airlifted by air Ornge to hospital for serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured in the crash.

Portions of Thompson Road West between Washington Street and Highway 24 were closed until around 11 p.m.
