Sedan crashes into Port Dover boutique, driver flees

Police are seeking assistance in identifying the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a Port Dover business and fled the scene.

At 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, August 18 a black 2007 Dodge Charger left the road and collided with the exterior of 13 Reasons, causing a fire and significant damage to the clothing boutique on the corner of Main Street and Chapman Street West.

The driver and a passenger fled the scene on foot before police, fire and ambulance arrived.

Owner Robin Laing posted on Facebook that she is “grateful that no one was seriously injured” and that she “will be in touch with anyone who has an online order or who is waiting for product to arrive.”

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
