If you’re thinking of heading down to Hamilton’s Art Crawl tonight, you might want to consider walking, biking, or taking public transit.
James Street North will be closed to all vehicular traffic between Murray Street and York Boulevard between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Friday.
The city says bus detours will be in place for routes affected by the closure.
Art Crawl on James St. is tomorrow, June 14th, July 12th, and August 9th, 5PM-10PM!
There are minor detours on Route 2 Barton, Route 3 Cannon, Route 4 Bayfront and Route 20 A Line. More info at https://t.co/1GlVssnzy9.

Shops, restaurants, vendors and performers are preparing to welcome visitors to the downtown core with more space.
This is the second year the closure is taking place, but this time, an extra block has been added between Cannon and York.
It was done as a pilot project last year, pitched by Ward 2 Councillor Cameron Kroestch, as a way to prioritize safety for pedestrians and vendors.
In years past, vendors would set up their booths along the street as thousands of visitors filled the sidewalks.
People coming to Art Crawl are encouraged to walk, bike or scooter to the event.
Future closures similar to Friday’s will take place on June 14, July 12, and Aug. 9.
