Red Arrows set to arrive at Canadian Warplane Museum Wednesday

The Royal Air Force’s Aerobatic Team plans to have a stopover at the museum in Mount Hope on Wednesday if weather permits.

Planned to arrive at the museum at noon, the special air team from the United Kingdom will be in Hamilton only for a few hours.

The Lancaster Bomber that was rebuilt at the museum is scheduled to fly with the Red Arrows as part of a special photo flight commemorating the Royal Canadian Air Force’s 100th anniversary.

The bomber was originally planned to fly with the acrobatic team in a formation flight during the Canadian National Exhibition this summer but the weather prevented the routine from happening.

The Warplane Heritage Museum told CHCH News that this week’s event is not an air show and the Red Arrows will not be doing an aerobatic routine during their brief visit.
