The RBC Canadian Open will return to Hamilton this week.
For seven days, the Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Ancaster will be bustling with activity.
Between May 27 and June 2, spectator events, live concerts, and road closures will be taking place.
Road Closures and Parking
Between May 27 and May 30, road closures will occur from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Between May 31 to June 1, road closures will occur from 7 a.m. until 11:59 p.m.
A final day of road closures will occur on June 2 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Access to Golf Links Road from Southcote Road, McNiven Road and Halson Street will be limited. Only those with hang-tags will be permitted.
Those living in and around the Pinecrest neighbourhood will have to access their community from Southcote Road.
This closure will not pertain to municipal service vehicles (e.g., trash pickup and emergency services), and allowance will be made on a case-by-case basis for private service vehicles that are clearly marked.
Parking for the event will be available at the Ancaster Fair Grounds. The City of Hamilton will operate a complimentary shuttle service to and from the event.
Scheduled Events and Tee Times
The event’s first three days will be filled with setup and several mixed events featuring professional and amateur players.
On May 27, the Hamilton course will be quiet as setup begins. The tournament’s final qualifier will take place at TPC Toronto.
On May 28, the course will celebrate Hall of Fame Day, and players will have the chance to play some practice rounds starting at 7 a.m.
On May 29, the RBC Championship Pro-Am will tee off at 6:30 a.m.
The first big day of the event will get underway on May 30, when the first round of play starts at 7 a.m.
A concert will be held from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., featuring music sets from Loud Luxury and Frank Walker.
On May 31, the second round of play will tee off at 7 a.m.
July Talk and Our Lady Peace will host two concerts that evening, from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On June 1, the third round of play will begin at 9:20 a.m.
It will be the final night of live music featuring Josh Ross and Lindsay Ell from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
June 2 will mark the event’s final day, with the championship round getting underway at 8:20 a.m.
The closing ceremony will start at 6 p.m. and a champions reception will follow that evening from 7 p.m. until 9:45 p.m.

Tickets
All of the tickets sold to event will allow visitors access to the grounds where they’ll be able to get close up views of their favorite PGA players.
Many ticket options are already sold out, but a few packages remain.
They start at $30 with the final day of play costing $120. Some VIP packages remain available too.
