A portion of Highway 406 in St. Catharines is closed Thursday morning following a two-vehicle crash that left two people in critical condition.
In a post on X around 9:30 a.m., Ontario Provincial Police say they closed the southbound lanes of Highway 406 at Westchester Crescent and both on ramps.
Officers say a man and a woman were sent to hospital in critical condition.
Police expect the highway to be closed for several hours and advise drivers to not drive the wrong way on the highway or ramp to avoid the road closure.
This is a developing news story. More to come.
