Police seek witnesses after woman heard ‘in distress’ overnight in St. Catharines

A disturbance call made to police in St. Catharines has investigators seeking witnesses who may have heard a woman that was “in distress.”

The initial incident was reported to police on Thursday.

A disturbance call led the responding authorities to find out that a woman was heard “in distress” near Elizabeth Street and Henry Street around 10:20 p.m.

However, the responding officers were unable to locate anyone seeking help.

They’re now turning to the public for any information that may further their investigation, such as dash cam footage — specifically between 10:20 p.m. and 11:20 p.m.

According to their investigation thus far, a four-door sedan with dark-tinted windows may have been involved in the initial incident.
