Police seek man wanted in St. Catharines motel robbery

Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of robbing a motel in St. Catharines.

It happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the area of Dunlop Drive and Carlton Street.

Investigators say an unknown man with a sharp object entered the motel and then stole a cell phone and cash from a cash register.

The motel employee was not physically injured.

The man was last seen running toward Dunlop Drive.

Police believe the man is about 40 years old and between five-foot-five and six feet tall with big eyes and a slim build.
