Police ask for video footage following armed home invasion in Oakville

An investigation has launched after an overnight armed home invasion took place in Oakville.

Police say on Tuesday at 1:30 a.m., a group of three men broke into a house on Spruce Street by shattering a glass door with a rock.

Wearing masks, the suspects threatened the homeowners with a gun, demanding the keys to their BMW sedan.

The men grabbed the keys and fled the residence in the vehicle.

Officials say there were no reported injuries as a result of the home invasion.

Investigators are asking the public for any video footage near the intersection of Trafalgar and Cornwall Roads between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Aug. 27.
