Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Sunday night on Highway 401 that sent two people to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers posted on X that the collision happened at around 8:30 p.m. on the westbound highway, east of Milton. Detectives say the crash involved an SUV rollover and a tractor trailer.
Emergency crews arrived at the crash where they found and rescued the drivers of both vehicles before sending them to hospital.
One man was sent to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the SUV was also taken to hospital in life-threatening condition but has been downgraded to minor injuries.
Officers closed two lanes of the highway until around 2 a.m. on Monday.
