OPP arrest 3 on drug trafficking charges in Port Dover, seize crack, cocaine and meth

A traffic stop in Port Dover has led provincial police to make three arrests and lay several drug-trafficking charges.

Provincial police say they pulled over a car around noon last Thursday near Nelson Street West.

Following the initial stop, the officers at the scene say they had “sufficient grounds to arrest the occupants for drug-related offences.”

A search of the two men and their vehicle led officers to find an undisclosed amount of cocaine an methamphetamine.

Two men were taken into custody without incident, police say.

They are Joey White, 42 and Jason Atamanchuk, 53, both of Norfolk County.

Both are being held in custody until their bail hearing on May 7.

After their arrest, police went on to raid a home in Port Dover on St. Andrew Street.

“During the search, officers discovered and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, and Adderall, along with a prohibited weapon, Canadian currency, and drug paraphernalia,” police said in an update.

One woman from the residence was taken into custody and charged.

Jenny Vittie, 31, of Norfolk County, is facing charges of trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, multiple weapons offences and a failure to comply with an earlier release order.
