Oakville teenager arrested in connection to 3 break-and-enters

Halton Regional Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy on Tuesday in connection to the breaking and entering of three Oakville homes.

Officers responded to three separate incidents between February and March where items were stolen from unoccupied homes.

Detectives determined that someone had forced themselves through glass doors and windows and had taken various personal items including cash and bank cards.

A Ford Explorer from one of the homes was also stolen but was later found in Hamilton.

Police say they have arrested the teenager on Tuesday and have charged him for breaking and entering, disguising with intent and for the theft of a vehicle.

The boy is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear at a Milton courthouse at a future date.
