Norfolk OPP charge 15-year-old with robbery, 2 suspects remain at large

Norfolk OPP have arrested a 15-year-old in connection to a robbery that took place in Turkey Point.

According to the department, they were called out to a home on Cedar Drive around 10:40 p.m. on Friday, where a dispute involving four people occurred.

Investigators say three of the three of the individuals “physically assaulted the victim, stole their property, then fled the scene.”

The victim sustained minor injuries.

A short while after the incident, officers located one of the suspects near Old Highway 24 in Waterford and took them into custody without incident.

The youth who was arrested is facing one count of alleged robbery with theft and a count of uttering threats. They’ve been scheduled to undergo a bail hearing in Simcoe.

Meanwhile, police are working to track down the other two suspects. They say that there is no threat to public safety at this time.
