Police in the Niagara region say a 30-year-old woman is facing a firearm-related charge following an incident Monday evening.
Uniformed officers say they responded to an armed person call around 5 p.m. in the area of Seneca Street and River Road.
Investigation revealed that Kayla Thorpe of Niagara Falls allegedly pointed a firearm at someone in a home.

Thorpe was arrested and now faces charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats.
She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
