Niagara police share video of suspect damaging $70K in grass at Bench Brewing Company

Niagara police have released surveillance video that captured a suspect accused of damaging $70,000 worth of grass at the Bench Brewing Company in Lincoln last month.

Officers say an unidentified suspect on a dark-coloured ATV drove on the brewery’s property and intentionally spread a liquid that killed a large amount of grass.

The suspect was seen driving the ATV south on Maple Grove Road around 5:10 a.m. and north on the same road around 5:35 a.m. on May 26.

Investigators say the suspect was wearing all black clothing and a black helmet with a face shield at the time of the incident.

Detectives say the four-wheel ATV appears to be grey or green with three headlights and a large liquid herbicide container or sprayer attached to the back of it.

Nearby residents are asked to review their surveillance video between 4:45 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. on May 26.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009023.
