Niagara police investigate gunshots in St. Catharines north end

Police are investigating reports of gunshots made early Sunday morning at a party in the Port Weller neighbourhood of St. Catharines.

Officers responded to a noise complaint at around 2 a.m. to a house party in the area of St. Louis Place, Croydon Drive and Arthur Street.

After speaking with the residents at the home for excessive noise, officers were called back to the area just before 5 a.m. after receiving reports of gunshots.

Investigators allege several people left a house party before entering multiple vehicles and firing shots from firearms into the sky.

Police believe they then fled the area in the vehicles.

Detectives confirm that no one was injured and no damages to property was damaged from the shooting.

Anyone with information or video of the area between 4 and 6 a.m. is asked to contact police.
